Kristy Deisher-Eddy - Creative Memories
Kristy Deischer-Eddy has been building her own
business, Creative Memories, for 5 years. Creative
Memories provides “soup to nut” services and products
needed to plan, create and preserve family custom
photo and memory albums.
RW: How did you get into this business, it sure is
unique?
KDE: I'm a third generation “shutter bug”, in that I've
always had lots photographs around the house. A year
ago I attended a class on how to organize photo albums,
and I was hooked on the whole idea. So many
people have boxes of photos laying around their house,
but don't know how to get started, or are intimidated
by the prospect of getting started. I thought it was a
nest niche.
RW: So, you do more then just supply nice photo albums
and supplies?
KDE: Oh yes, we provide total coaching/cheerleading
help on how to get started, how to organize the initial
chaos, and how to keep the process going. We help
lay-out the road map of how to create a wonderful record
that you'll cherish forever.
RW: Are there any special features to your products?
KDE: Yes, Creative Memories' albums provide acidfree
archival photo preservation for your photos. Our
albums will help make your pictures stay new looking
as long as they remain mounted in our albums.
long as they remain mounted in our albums.
RW: What are the off-shoot, intangible bene?ts of album making?
KDE: A well designed photo album brings families together,
it helps dredge up old stories and memories that
may have been forgotten. It's just plain fun for the whole
family.
RW: What are your long term goals for the business?
KDE: To keep building my team, which will ultimately
grow my business. To spread the word about my business
by doing networking.
